Fall into fun this Autumn break

The Easter holidays are nearly here, and there is no better place to spend them than in the Midwest! We’ve taken the hard work out of filling your calendar with cool things to do, so read on for some of our top picks for this April, no matter your dynamic!

Wholesome family fun

The whole family will be more than entertained if you jump on-board the Abrolhos Island Fast Ferry all day adventure tour! It’s a 1.5 hour journey to Long Island where you’ll drop anchor for a jam-packed day snorkelling, swimming, touring on a glass bottomed boat and so much more.

If you would rather keep your feet on dry land, head up to Kalbarri National Park for the day and Discover the Dreaming - an opportunity to not only take in the incredible Kalbarri Skywalk but to also learn about the ancient culture of the traditional owners, the Nanda people.

Museum of Geraldton will be hosting a variety of exhibitions, including the chance to get up close with some coral fish and you need a movie night after a jam-packed day check out Films on the Foreshore or take the gang to Orana Cinemas to catch Fantastic Beasts: Secrets of Dumbledore or Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

Grown up time

Adults deserve a bit of fun time, too, and there is plenty happening this April that is sure to get you out of the house and having a fabulous time!

If you’re keen for a hands on experience, Bob’s Bar is hosting a Step up to Ginstronomy evening, where you can learn about the fine art of gin tasting. If you’d rather create actual art, you could always try get yourself on the waitlist for the Murchison Tavern’s Paint & Prosecco Night.

For those that love to dance the night away, local favourite Josh Phillips will be performing at Burnt Barrel, and Evan Ayres and The Swing Kings will be taking over the Provincial.

And if de-stressing is more your speed, why not join in on free Sunset Yoga sessions, take five to experience the latest exhibitions at Geraldton Regional Art Gallery or go all in on relaxation and attend a shake night session.

Kids rule

Geraldton is renowned for its School Holiday Program and the Autumn edition does not fail to disappoint. There’s a variety of craft activities taking place at the Scrapbook House, CityHive drop in sessions, soccer and wheelchair basketball and so much more.
