Baby animals, a quick shearing competition, fireworks, local produce plus live entertainment and tunes are some of the reasons why you should attend the 87th Mullewa Agricultural Show this August.

The event attracts hundreds from around the state and it’s no surprise with a diverse program as well as the popular Outback Bloom – Mullewa’s Wildflower Festival taking place during the same week.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn encouraged folks to attend.

“Mullewa Agricultural Show is always a fantastic day out and the committee have been working very hard to ensure this year’s event is another cracker,” he said.

“There’s acrobatics, art exhibitions, roving entertainment, side show alley plus a rock climbing wall that is sure to get your adrenalin pumping.

“We are proud to support this fantastic event through our Community Grants Program that gives community groups a financial helping hand.”

Mullewa Ag Society Secretary Julie Freeman said it was going to be a fantastic day out.

“Mullewa is having an amazing wildflower season and the Mullewa Agricultural Show will be one of the best weekends to come for a drive, see the flowers at their best and enjoy some country hospitality and entertainment,” she said.

“The Committee were devastated last year when we had to cancel the event but we all had a rest from volunteering and are excited to bring back the Mullewa Agricultural Show with something to see and do for everyone.

“We are grateful for the support of our sponsors and the funding received from the City of Greater Geraldton’s Community Grants Program as well as the Mullewa Community Trust and Healthway.”

The Mullewa Agricultural Show takes place on Saturday 28 August at the Mullewa Recreation Grounds. Gates open to the public at 9.30am and the main pavilion opens at 12pm.

Adult tickets are $15 each, pensioner tickets are $5 each and kids under the age of 16 enter free.
