Take a leaf out of the Autumn School Holiday Program

Rake up some great boredom busting ideas for the kids by grabbing the Autumn School Holiday Program.

The School Holiday Program – a combined effort between the City and external providers – will commence from Tuesday 6 April.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn was happy to introduce the latest edition of the program.

“This program has become a staple of school holiday breaks here in Geraldton and we’re so glad to be able to offer another fresh batch of ideas,” he said.

“With all this on offer and so much more, it’s no wonder Geraldton is a finalist in the 2021 GWN7 Top Tourism Town Awards.”

City hosted events include free soccer clinics in conjunction with Football West and Dungeons and Dragons sessions hosted by an experienced game master.

Friday Films will return to the Geraldton Foreshore, with a free evening screening of ‘Dolittle’ happening on Friday 9 April and ‘Scooby Doo – the Sword and the Scoob’ showing on 16 April.

Sport lovers can choose from come and try sessions for kids of all ages, from badminton and golf, to croquet and skate sessions. Water lovers will also enjoy daily access to the Aquarena’s water slide and BIFF.

Crafty kids can enjoy coat hanger weaving and ripper writing sessions at the Geraldton Regional Library, paper crafts at The Scrapbook House and beginners print making sessions at Geraldton Regional Art Gallery.

If it’s a mystery your kids are chasing, be sure to check out Museum of Geraldton who are offering a variety of sneaky activities centring on their Spy: Espionage in Australia exhibition.

Little ones and their parents are also catered for, with Euphorium offering free Try New Things for Toddlers sessions.
