Everyone knows Geraldton has beautiful beaches but what else is there to do for families on a budget?
Read on to find out more!
Skate Parks
If your kids like to skateboard, rollerblade, ride bikes or scooters then Geraldton is the place for you! If you were to visit one skate park per day it would take you over a week to see them all. Please remember all the City's Skate Parks are unsupervised, and usage is 'at your own risk'.

Pump n Jump Track
Skate parks aren’t the only place if your kids love to cut loose on their bikes and scooters, the Pump n Jump track will keep them entertained for hours. Situated on the banks of the Chapman River adjacent to Spalding Park there is also a mountain bike skills track and an 11km loop that can be completed either on foot or by bike.
Youth Precinct
Not without cause, the Geraldton Foreshore Youth Precinct has been called the best youth space in WA. Catering to kids of all ages the Youth Precinct features everything from basketball courts to foosball, ping pong, soccer, hockey, netball, cricket, rebound tennis, handball and let’s not forget the assorted collection of slides, bridges, and swings. If your kids love to be active then this is the best place to let them burn off that excess energy, and when their stomachs start to rumble there are plenty of nearby cafes and eateries to fill hungry tummies.
Museum of Geraldton
Overlooking the Indian Ocean the Museum of Geraldton provides a snapshot of times long since passed in a fascinating and engaging way for the whole family. With an array of constantly evolving exhibitions, there is something for everyone. Entry is free (donations encouraged) you can find more information here.
Critter Trail on Chapman
