One of Geraldton’s most loved and attended events, Christmas on the Terrace, will return this year and the community can expect all the crowd favourites back for another fun-filled evening!
The City of Greater Geraldton, alongside a plethora of stallholders, businesses, community groups and entertainers will bring Marine Terrace to life for a Christmas celebration.
This year the City of Greater Geraldton in partnership with Rio Tinto is incorporating a digital element to the festivities with the introduction of a new augmented reality experience.
To celebrate the implementation of the augmented reality feature the City will be hosting a video competition with a $100 Buy Local Greater Geraldton Gift Card as the prize.

Open app and allow access to camera and microphone.
Press (eye logo) and point camera at one of the QR codes (see below for locations) to launch AR
Press the white circle to start and stop recording
Press IG logo to post to your Instagram account. (Make sure your account is set to public or we won’t see it).

The winner will be announced and contacted via the City’s social media on Friday 10th December.
In order to avoid disappointment it is suggested that you download the EyeJack app as soon as possible.
The event will start at 5pm and conclude at 8.30pm. The entirety of Marine Terrace will be closed so pedestrians can roam the area freely. Further details of road closures can be viewed here.
Free parking will be available in the City’s CBD car parks, however, parts of Lot 601 and Parking Station #2 (near Rocks Laneway) will have limited access.
