Tours and Trails

Geraldton is rich in stories and activities.

One of the best ways to explore Geraldton and the Mid West is to go on a tour.  Talk to our friendly staff at the Geraldton Visitor Centre and they will find the tour that is right for you.

Learn about the plight of the HMAS Sydney II by visiting the Memorial (a Memorial of National Significance) located on Mt Scott, Geraldton.  The highly experienced Geraldton Voluntary Tour Guides are on hand to explain the significance of each part of the Memorial.

Gain a first-hand insight into the crayfish industry by joining a tour of the live lobster processing factory at the Geraldton Fisherman's Co-operative.  Take a flight to the Abrolhos Islands, go on a fishing tour (seasonal) or explore underwater with a unique diving tour.   Look for migrating whales between August and November.

Learn about Monsignor Hawes, the priest/architect who designed and built so many buildings within the Mid West.  Start at St Francis Xavier Cathedral where the friendly guides will explain the amazing architecture and history of the Cathedral in their tour.

Or take your own walking tour, with Heritage Trails.  An informative walk through the City with interpretation panels every step of the way.  Ask at the Geraldton Visitor Centre for a walking trails brochure.
