Friday

Young Jewellers Awards
Exhibiting jewellery made by local students, featuring Latitude’s own Black Abrolhos Pearls. Support the students of Nagle Catholic College and Geraldton Senior College on this special night. Light refreshments provided. From 6pm at Latitude Gallery Jewellers on Marine Terrace. FOC
DeadReds Taster
Bring along your nasty red wines for judging, or just enjoy a night out for taste testing. At the Geraldton Yacht Club from 6.30pm, tickets available from Skeetas or Cellarbrations at Queens IGA. Tickets $35 per person.
Live Music Geraldton Hotel, Gregory Street:
Free Friday Fun with the Midnight Jokers from 7pm. FOC
Freemasons Hotel, Marine Terrace:
Tenindewa Tossers from 9pm. FOC
Vibe Nightclub, Fitzgerald Street:
Five Dollar Fridays with DJ Pat Farrell. $5 drink specials all night long. Free from 11pm, $10 from 11.30pm.

Farmers Markets Paddock to plate. Local fresh produce at Maitland Park on Maitland Street, from 8am to 12noon. FOC

Sunday

Platform Markets Geraldton’s biggest market full of local produce, food and beverages, it’s the perfect time to take the family out. Behind the Geraldton Railway Station from 8am to noon. FOC
Obstacle Hell
Mud pools, ice baths, monkey bars, tyre walls, cargo net climbs and much more! It’s the ultimate 5km+ outdoor obstacle course that is both fun and challenging! More information visit www.obstaclehell.com, from 7am to 4pm. Adults $69, children $39 – spectators free!
Dive Course
Batavia Coast Dive & Watersports are hosting an Open Water Dive Course from 8am to 3pm. Theory, gear hire and practical training all included. More information by phoning (08) 9921 4429. $595 per person.
Craft Market
Plants, sewing, clothing, hand spun wool, pottery, artwork, food and more. From 9am to 1pm and the Geraldton Cultural Trust on Marine Terrace. FOC
Planting Day Join Geraldton’s newest coast-care group for their Inaugural Planting Day, followed by a celebratory BBQ. Don’t forget sunscreen, enclosed shoes and a water bottle. More information phone 0448 147 263. Meet at the end of Greenough Rd, Cape Burney. FOC
Guided River Walk Enjoy a guided walk through the Chapman River Regional Park. Wear appropriate clothing, shoes, hat and bring your own water bottle. From 2pm to 4pm, meet opposite 42 Tersonia Way, Strathalbyn. FOC

All Weekend

HMAS Sydney II Memorial Tours (Gummer Avenue)
Learn the history of the HMAS Sydney II and pay tribute to the lives lost. Tour starts at 10.30am daily. Free tour, donations welcomed.
Old Geraldton Gaol (Chapman Road)
Wander the cells at the Old Geraldton Gaol, find some local homemade goodies and explore the stories and history of the building. Open Friday from 10am to 3.30pm and Saturday from 9am to 12pm. EBD
Alice in Wonderland (Theatre 8 - Eighth Street, Wonthella)
A young girl's curiosity gets the best of her after she follows a white rabbit down his hole and finds herself in a whimsical world! Friday night show at 7pm and Saturday will feature two shows, one at 3pm and the second at 7pm. Adults $15 and children $10.
