Summer break is almost upon us, which means the School Holiday Program is back! This extensive program has a variety of activities on offer that is sure to keep kids of all ages entertained during these long summer days.

The School Holiday Program -- a combined effort of local providers – is underway from now until Friday 1 February.

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn said that the popular program keeps going from strength to strength.

“Earlier this year Wotif named Geraldton as one of the best school holiday spots in Western Australia, and the School Holiday Program played a big part of that,” he said.

“It has something on offer for kids of all ages, so make sure you take a look at the full program.”

The program is split into ‘Older Crew’ and ‘Younger Crew’ which makes it easier for parents and carers to plan for events that are suitable for their kids.

Older crew will be able to enjoy plenty of sports action, including soccer, basketball and volleyball, as well as free SUP Paddleboarding lessons and Sunset Yoga.

Younger children will be able to enjoy arts and crafts, movies, and excursions plus workshops a plenty!

The Mullewa Youth Centre will also have a variety of activities on offer, including Bike Rescue, workshops and even an esports competition and beauty sessions. The centre is open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11.30am until 7.30pm.

The Summer School Holiday program is made possible by the City of Greater Geraldton as well as external providers such as PCYC, headspace Geraldton, Ngala, Museum of Geraldton as well as others.
