Chapman Valley Historical Society Museum

Just 26 kilometres east from Geraldton, along Chapman Valley Road at Nanson you will find a treasure trove that is paying tribute to early settlers of the district. There is the usual farm machinery and household items but displayed around the walls are many photographs and interesting stories of local history. A railway carriage holds items and the history of the rail line from Geraldton to Yuna. Within the rooms are displays of shearing equipment, farm vehicles, a collection of restored vintage farm machinery and childrens bikes, pedal cars and scooters. There is also a Yuna Room which celebrates their pioneers of the last 100 years.

Within the grounds there is the original Roads Board Building, sheds full of big machinery, a toilet block, shady trees and a covered arbour suitable for picnics.
