Geraldton has long been considered the gateway to the Northwest and there are more travel options than ever for visitors who wish experience the wonders of the Midwest, Pilbara and Kimberly.
From multiple airline options to self-drive, charter flights or the good ol’ bus there are no excuses for not being able to experience the wonders above the 26th parallel.
Nexus Airlines
Australia’s newest carrier, Nexus Airlines offers access across much of Western Australia and beyond connecting business travellers, holiday makers, FIFO commuters, family and friends with their regional destinations through a reliable and seamless service.
From the end of September 2023 travellers can also enjoy twice daily services between Geraldton and Perth.
Regional residents may also be eligible to access the Regional Airfare Zone Cap fares to help make their travels more affordable.

Charter flights
If you are short on time and punctuality is your priority, then you can’t beat accessing a private charter flight from either Fly Gero or Shine Aviation. Both locally based charter services connect their passengers with Perth and destinations throughout the Northwest as well as offering scenic flights to the Houtman Abrolhos Islands and other must see locations.

Transwa
For those who prefer to keep their travels at ground level Transwa offers multiple daily coach services between Perth, Geraldton and beyond. Travelling by coach is not only comfortable and cost effective it also offers passengers the opportunity to stop off and explore multiple destinations up and down Australia’s Coral Coast without the need to hire a vehicle.
Self-drive
