Food and beverage businesses in the Geraldton CBD are invited to take part in an exciting new initiative aimed at shining a light on the vibrant local hospitality scene.
As part of the Stay and Play destination marketing campaign, the City is offering a free professional photography session to eligible venues to create high-quality images for tourism marketing.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune encouraged local businesses to get involved.
“Geraldton’s foodie scene is awesome and by supporting our hospitality venues we can entice potential visitors to spend more time in our region and explore our city centre,” he said.
“This initiative is a fantastic chance to highlight the atmosphere, menu and unique character of our food and beverage offerings through the lens of a professional photographer whilst also providing local businesses with valuable promotional materials.
“If you run a café, restaurant or bar in the CBD I urge you to get involved with this brilliant opportunity to celebrate our thriving food and beverage scene.”
A selection of images generated through the photography opportunity will be provided to participating venues and be used to enhance the Visit Geraldton Food and Beverage Trail along with other destination marketing efforts.
This request for information is open until Friday 19 September and businesses are encouraged to apply early to secure a spot. Participation is free, and selected businesses will be contacted to arrange a convenient time for the photography session.
To put forward your submission and review the terms and conditions head to the City’s website.
The Stay and Play destination marketing campaign falls under the Thriving theme of the Strategic Community Plan and reflects the City’s commitment to making Geraldton a destination of choice.
