Planning to document your Gero trip on social media? We’ve got you covered with some pretty special Instagramable spots you will need to visit while you’re here! Forget that filter - all you’ll need is #nofilter

West End

West End in Geraldton is a mecca for Instagram-worthy pics! This quirky and unique end of town offers you stunning laneways and cool cafes to capture your time in Geraldton. Beautifully-designed cafes will leave you with endless locations to capture your time in Geraldton, or even capture a cheeky foodie photo of some stunning culinary creations. You’ll be pleasantly surprised with what you can capture in one of Geraldton’s most popular locations!

Public Art

Geraldton’s vast array of stand-out public art pieces sprawl through the City and are some of our most photographed elements. Urban art is throughout the West End of Marine Terrace - it even spans throughout lane ways! Make sure you keep an eye out for the more quirky guerrilla-style pieces too.

We dare you to go to the Geraldton Foreshore and not take a photo! It’s too amazing not to capture. Blue skies, turquoise water and white sandy beaches – what’s not to love?! And if you want even better views of Geraldton’s premier space, take a leisurely walk down the Esplanade! Not only will you get a great look of our City from a viewing platform, you’ll spot the sprawling Moresby Ranges and even Seal Rock where you’ll get a look of some of our most friendly Sea Lion locals.

Ellendale Pool

One of the Midwest’s most striking natural wonders – Ellendale Pool makes you feel as if you’ve been transported somewhere in WA’s far north. The scenic waterhole is surrounded by beautiful giant gum trees and a remarkable rocky gorge. It’s the perfect spot for a picnic or even to camp! Get back to nature and explore the beautiful area – your Instagram will thank you later.

Take a walk along the boardwalk and imagine you own one of the many luxury boats and yachts docked in the Marina. This location is beautiful for a leisurely walk and you’ll be able to capture some great shots of jetties among calm seas. If you really want to get those likes flowing – head there at sunset and capture the Batavia Longboat Replica which is usually moored in the area. And if you’re feeling a bit more adventurous - drop a line and snap a photo of your catch!
