Pack your camera, lace up your walking shoes and head to Mullewa this wildflower season, where spectacular floral displays, rich heritage, country hospitality and family-friendly events await.
Following welcome winter rainfall across the Midwest, this year's wildflower season is shaping up to be one to remember.
City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Jerry Clune highlighted why people should visit Mullewa this season.
“Mullewa offers one of the world’s most unique wildflower experiences, with vibrant displays and species found nowhere else,” he said.
“Conditions leading up to the season have been favourable for wildflowers, and we’re expecting some truly spectacular blooms for visitors to enjoy.
“I urge everyone to take a trip to Mullewa and experience the beauty of the region firsthand.
“Whilst visiting, stop in at the Mullewa Community Resource Centre for the latest information about what is happening locally, and you can’t leave town without visiting Helen Ansell’s Gallery and Suzie’s Aboriginal Art Studio to view locally inspired art,” finished Mayor Clune.
Outback Bloom - Mullewa’s Wildflower Festival will return from Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 August 2026 and feature guided wildflower walks, flower displays in the Mullewa Town Hall as well as a bush tucker workshop and a smartphone photography workshop.
The Mullewa Agricultural Show will take place on Saturday 29 August 2026 at the Mullewa Recreation Ground, providing a fantastic day out that is sure to be a hit with the whole family.
